This picture I took of a flower, using the portrait mode on the iPhone really turned out well. It was a kind of gloomy day and the lighting ended up doing a great job of highlighting the flower. I think it would be interesting to think about lighting a subject in a gloomy setting but manipulating the light so that the subject is brought forward and highlighted, almost as if they are the light in the scene
