Perspective

I have never considered myself to be a good photographer. I remember spending hours trying to learn how to take the perfect mirror selfie for MySpace with my digital camera (flash ON) and finding one usable photo. My eye just was underdeveloped at seeing things from a good perspective or seeing where the lighting hits. So it should come as no surprise when I took this photo from the passenger seat of my mom's car, I was shocked that I had actually captured the moment. The sun happens to be at a perfect perspective point to light the array of clouds from a downward angle. The sun almost acts as a Leko, emitting a great wash to backlight the epic scene about to take place. It is also fascinating to see so many different textures and colors from a single source of a warm, whitish yellow light. I think this photo serves as a great reminder, that one single source or moment can be so multi-faceted and produce such great results (this photo/lighting). The same is true for life, focusing on one single craft to hone in on overtime can produce great results for the artist.
