Hey everyone! My names Kathryn, and I've never done a blog post before, so we'll see how this goes. The image above is a picture my best friend took of me when we decided to go out into the woods to take pictures about two years ago. It was mid-Fall and pretty late in the afternoon, and I just really loved how the light filtered through the trees in visible beams, and the contrast of the dark shadows. The whole forest just felt really whimsical and bright, and I feel like this image really captures the feel that was created by our greatest natural light source. I am a big fan of non-colored light and shadows. It's one of my favorite kinds of lighting. There's something really powerful about the strong contrast that can be used in a lot of different ways.
