Every once in a while I dance in The Foundation Room of House of Blues Anaheim. One thing that particularly makes this venue stand out is its decor. I am mesmerized by the lighting and overall ambiance of this venue. I don't know the story behind it, but it looks like some Buddhistic sanctuary and it is so different than any other House of Blues locations.
In the round shaped hallway of the venue you can see four arches inside which there are big statues of Buddhistic gods. Each one is heavily illuminated. This one stood out to me particularly. The warm red light is so deep and intense it makes the statue look mysterious. In addition, when you come closer to look at Buddha's face it seems like he is staring right back at you. The golden color of the statue and its cracked surface create an interesting ensemble where you can see gold glare shining through the red light and various textures. It's so pretty and intimidating.
