Hotel Lobby

Hi there friends! For this blog post, I wanted to share a picture that I took at the Polynesian Resort in Walt Disney World over the summer. This is the lobby area for the hotel, and the entire ceiling is made of glass. I thought the natural light filtered down onto the ground in a really cool way, especially because it was a cloudy day. (As I learned over the week I was there, Florida summers are either full sunlight or pouring rain, there is no in between.) This whole lobby, with the windows and the lights hanging from the ceiling, is a really cool example of lighting design being used outside of a theatrical context.
