Hello Class!
For this week's post I wanted to share some photos of a bowling alley in LA that I recently went to. These photos are not ones that I took, because I found that photos online were better at showing what I wanted to talk about.
I love the use of the neon lights because the pallet used harkens the mind back to a retro time in the past, while the crispness still makes it look clean and futuristic. I thought this was a great example of the way lighting design has influenced public spheres and affected our day to day activities. The use of the lights took something that could be considered average or boring and turned it into a total visual experience. It created a cool vibe that made me feel excited.
