This is a picture I took at Exposition Park's Rose Garden. If you look closely, there is an awesome rainbow that formed. The water from the fountain allows our eyes to be able to see the colors within white light. The most vibrant colors that stood out to me the most are reds and green. I can see orange, yellow, and blue as well; but faintly. I've always had a hard time explaining where rainbows come from or how they are created. I'm glad to say that I don't feel intimated to explain it to others now. I never took the time to learn about light in this manner. Now, that I understand it a little bit more it makes looking at nature quite fascinating. Although I can see several colors in this rainbow our eyes aren't capable of seeing the entire spectrum of colors contained within white light. A rainbow is as close as we'll get to seeing light in its broken down form : )
